Current information and events involving Howe Trinity Parish Church and members

This page is to inform members of the Howe Trinity Parish of things which affect the Church or Parish. It can be the details of a forthcoming meeting or event or maybe a plea for help of some kind.
Howe Trinity holds a service each Sunday. Services will reflect and adhere to applicable Covid regulations and guidelines. To find out the latest situation please contact the minister. Should you be unable to attend the church, for any reason, the service is also streaming live on Facebook.

If you have urgent pastoral or practical needs, please contact the minister, Rev John Cook on 019755 62282, or by email:

Dependent on current Covid restrictions and guidance, the Minister may be able to visit in your home, if you would like. Please contact him to find out more.
The new year of 2021, more than in any other year we should take time to reflect on the losses, but also on the gains, of 2020, and how we can learn lessons, and carry the good things of the old year, into the new one.

Here are 2 different resources which may help you with that -

1: A colouring in sheet with space for writing your "Hopes, Dreams, Goals and Intentions" for 2021.
To download click here

2: A free pdf of the first month's resources of the 15 month devotional The Reservoir, produced by Renovare. Materials are provided for 5 days each week - a quote, a thought, a Scripture passage and questions for reflection. If you use this and find it helpful, then you can order the book online, or the minister would be happy to order a copy for you.

We hope that amongst your resolutions for 2021 you will find something to help draw you closer to God. If you can't view these resources, or if you can't print them out, let the minister know, and he will be pleased to drop one off to you.

As part of the weekly notices, there will be an "sharing time" slot available each week. This can be used for example, by leaders of groups or organisations in the church to publicise forthcoming events, or by church members to draw attention to events or situations in the wider Christian world, or by members or friends of Howe Trinity who would like to share an aspect of their faith with the wider congregation. To book a slot, please contact the minister - there will normally be only one slot available each week.
To find out about booking the hall, meeting room or lounge, please contact the minister -

The Wednesday Evening Study Group is the new name for the former "House Group". It provides an opportunity to meet other people in a relaxed atmosphere and develop friendships. It is an opportunity for bible study, in which everyone can contribute their thoughts. It is an opportunity for the honest facing of doubts and questions. It is a place for encouragement and mutual support. It is a place where people can come and just be, secure in the knowledge that they are accepted just as they are.
You are welcome to join us every Wednesday Evening (during school term time) at 7.30pm in the Church Hall Lounge.
For more details email:
Howe Trinity Church Library contains a wide range of books relevant to the Christian faith, available to friends and members of Howe Trinity. The Library will be open in the church hall on the first Sunday of every month, but books can be borrowed at any time, for up to one month. Donations or loans of books to the library are always welcome. We hope you will enjoy and benefit from this resource.
The latest catalogue of current titles (which now contains music) can be downloaded here
Post your stamps in the letter box in the vestibule (remember to leave a ¼" of paper round the stamp). These are forwarded to the Council of World Mission's Stamp Bureau. The beneficiaries of the Stamp appeal change each year.
